Dr. Robert Davidson is a board certified cardiologist and internist who has been in practice in the Los Angeles area for over three decades. Today he talks with Vicki about some of the early warning signs of heart disease and symptoms of a heart attack. He addresses the frequent claim in diet books regarding whether or not heart disease is really reversible. He also talks about the truth about cholesterol as it associates to heart disease, as well as the role genetics plays in treating early onset. Dr. Davidson received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and did his cardiology fellowship at Duke University. After furthering his medical skills in the USAF, he joined the staff of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, becoming Clinical Chief of Cardiology. Dr. Davidson is a fellow of the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, and the American College of Physicians. He continues to do research and teach in addition to his full time practice.
