Kauffman spent nearly 22 years with CBS, reporting for many of their top-rated news programs. Before that, she was a special correspondent for ABC’s Good Morning America, and got her start on NBC’s Seattle affiliate, King 5 news. A member of the Nez Perce tribe of Idaho, Kauffman holds the distinction of being the first Native American to file a report on a network news broadcast.
