Today, mystical and visionary writer Chanson Duvall takes you on a spiritual, yet down-to-earth journey in his new book, haunting murder mystery Our Lady of Dreams. Later, we discuss the current state of live theatre with Whidbey Island Center for the Arts Production Director Deana Duncan.
It took Chanson Duvall nine years to complete his new novel, Our Lady of Dreams. He relied on his background in prayer and meditation to produce a work that is both profound in it’s simplicity and devastating in it’s implications. Duvall lives and teaches in-depth meditation in Southern California where he continues to write.
Now in it’s 14th year, Whidbey Island Center for the Arts (WICA) offers a variety of performances year-round. Production Director Deana Duncan is currently looking for talent for the 2010-2011 season auditions. She will discuss why it’s vital to keep the arts alive and active in schools. Duncan holds a degree in theatre arts, and has been with WICA for over ten years.
