PBS series God In America producer Marilyn Mellowes takes viewers on a spiritual and political journey of religious figures to uncover how religion helped to shape America.

Later, Dr. Mary Lamia shares the insights that led to her authoring the book Understanding Myself: A Kid’s Guide to Intense Emotions and Strong Feelings.

Marilyn Mellowes, producer and writer at WGBH in Boston, is best known for the popular series From Jesus to Christ: The First Christians. She developed the on-going history series American Experience, and has contributed to many award winning programs and series. God in America, her latest effort, takes you inside the tumultous 400 year history of the intersection of religion and public life in America.

Dr. Mary Lamia is a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst who works with all ages. She is the former host of KidTalk with Dr. Mary on Radio Disney, and found time during her duties as a professor at The Wright Institute to author her second book, Understanding Myself: A Kids Guide to Intense Emotions and Strong Feelings.
