Getting in touch with one’s inner source of peace and following its guidance over the mind’s often-unfounded concerns requires training and discipline. Knowing this truth intimately, spiritual teacher Barb Schmidt developed a three-part spiritual discipline to help others develop the tools they need to find harmony in their daily life. Enter into tranquility with her new book The Practice: Simple Tools for Managing Stress, Finding Inner Peace, and Uncovering Happiness.
Today Vicki also shares a conversation she had with Dr. Daniel Amen regarding unleashing the power of the female brain. Dr. Amen has made frequent appearances on PBS discussing brain imaging, aging, and health, and says scanning the brain can lead to better treatment of depression, anxiety, and other ailments.
