Most of us have nights where we toss and turn, but for some, insomnia can be deadly! Vicki talks to D.T. Max about his latest work with National Geographic in The Secrets of Sleep. Harvard graduate D.T. Max has been a book editor, book reviewer, noted essayist, and author. His most recent book is The Family That Couldn’t Sleep: A Medical Mystery.

You might lose a little sleep wondering if anything can be done about MRSA. We do know that it spreads rapidly through hospitals and that it’s extremely drug resistant, but what we DONT know about MRSA may be just as vital. Maryn McKenna sheds some light on this epidemic in her book Superbug: The Fatal Menace of MRSA. She is a contributing writer for the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota and was awarded an Ochberg Fellowship from Columbia University’s Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma.
