Meet Tim Reuben

Novelist, Tim Reuben, is a veteran civil litigation attorney, a mediator, and a temporary judge in the LA courts. He founded his own law firm more than 30 years ago, and still manages the practice, while publishing widely on topics of law and society. Inspired by his law and travel experiences, and an appreciation of spirits, Reuben introduces his first novel, TEQUILA: A Story of Success, Love, & Violence, and has plans for at least two more-family saga suspense novels featuring protagonist, Brian Youngman.

As a businessman, Tom Seeman has owned and led several businesses. He grew up in a family of 14, on welfare and food stamps in the projects of Toledo, Ohio. He earned his B.A. in Economics from Yale, where he rowed on the crew team, and graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, before going on to earn his J.D. at Harvard. Talking with Erik Weihenmayer about the way he lives his life, and helps others live theirs, is beyond inspirational.

Weihenmayer astounded the world when he became the first, and only, blind person to climb Mount Everest. He’s also the only blind person to climb the Seven Summits, the tallest peaks on each continent.

And as if that wasn’t enough, along the way he took blind Nepalese teenagers climbing, and helped navigate injured soldiers through the mountains.

Today, he shares stories from his memoir,  No Barriers: A Blind Man’s Journey to Kayak the Grand Canyon — an inspirational odyssey through Ecuador and Peru, to Nepal and Tibet. Weihenmayer embodies the motto of his organization, No Barriers: “What’s in You is Greater than What’s in Your Way.”
